Riding with Hitler When You Ride Alone, You Ride with Hitler!
Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What does that mean, “When You Ride Alone, You Ride With Hitler!”

A. During WWII, Americans were urged to conserve gasoline (and most other consumer goods) in support of the War Effort. To ride alone was wasteful, and therefore it aided the enemy.

Q. How come Hitler can eat a Happy Meal (the act of a corporeal being), but when he reaches for Chewbacca “his ghostly mitts pass right through it?”

A. It is only stated that Hitler “gets” a Happy Meal, not that he actually ate it. And because ownership is conceptual — rather than physical — it is quite plausible that Hitler's ghost got a Happy Meal.

Q. Overall, your story lacks merit. The characterization is weak; plot development is nil; your prose is awful. Have you considered taking a creative writing course to hone your dubious “skills?”

A. Up yours.

Q. If riding alone means riding with Hitler, why does Hitler stay in the car while you're at work? Shouldn't he just appear when you're driving?

A. Hitler is in the car as long as gas is being wasted. I leave the engine running while I work.

Q. Why?

A. So Hitler can listen to the radio.
